Families trust us with their children's learning. This page explains, in plain words, what information we collect, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Who we are
We are an online education academy. We teach Qur'an reading, Tajweed, Hifz, Arabic and Islamic Studies online, one to one, to children and adults. We decide how your information is used, so we are responsible for it under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018).
What we collect
When you contact us or book a trial
- Your name and phone number.
- Who the classes are for (you or your child), the subjects you're interested in and the times that suit you.
- Anything else you choose to tell us in your messages.
When you fill in a form in one of our Facebook or Instagram ads
- The details the form asks for, such as your name, phone number and your answers to its questions.
When you or your child take classes
- What we need to teach well: the student's name, age, level, timetable and progress in class.
- Records of the classes taken and payments made.
When you visit our website
- We use the Meta Pixel, a small piece of code from Meta (Facebook and Instagram). It uses cookies to record visits and actions such as opening WhatsApp from our page, so we can see which of our ads work.
- Our class videos are played through Vimeo, and our fonts load from Google. These services receive basic technical information, such as your IP address and browser, when the page loads or a video plays.
- Our web host keeps standard server logs for security.
Why we use it
- To reply to you and arrange your free trial classes. We need this to do what you asked us to do.
- To teach the classes you book and keep the records that go with them, as part of our agreement with you.
- To measure and improve our ads. This is in our legitimate interest as a small school finding families who are looking for a teacher.
- To meet our legal obligations, such as keeping financial records.
We don't sell your information, and we don't use it to make automated decisions about you.
Children
Most of our students are children aged 5 to 16. A parent or guardian books their classes and gives us the information we need. If you are under 18 and want to learn with us, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us for you.
Who we share it with
- Our tutors, who receive only what they need to teach the student.
- Meta (WhatsApp, Facebook, Instagram), which carries our messages, runs our ads and the Meta Pixel.
- Service providers that run our website and lessons, such as our web host, Vimeo and Google.
- Authorities, only if the law requires it.
Some of these, including our tutors and Meta, are outside the UK. When we share information with them, we only share what is needed and rely on the safeguards UK law requires.
How long we keep it
We keep student and payment records for as long as you study with us and for as long afterwards as the law requires. If you ask about classes but don't go on to book, we delete your details within 2 years.
Your rights
You can ask us at any time to:
- send you a copy of the information we hold about you or your child;
- correct anything that is wrong;
- delete your information;
- stop using it for a particular purpose, such as contacting you.
Just message us on WhatsApp at +44 7735 666657. We will reply within one month.
If you're not happy with how we handle your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office: ico.org.uk, telephone 0303 123 1113.
Cookies and ad settings
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. To control how Meta uses your activity to show you ads, open your Facebook or Instagram settings and go to Ad preferences.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we use your information, we'll update this page and the date at the top.
